How It Works

Fabric and Leather Need Different Care

Treating leather like fabric, or fabric like leather, is how furniture gets ruined. We test the material and colorfastness first, then apply the right method: gentle extraction for fabric, conditioning-safe cleaning for leather. Either way, the goal is the same: dirt and odor out, fibers or finish intact.

  • Material and colorfastness testing before any cleaning starts
  • Gentle fabric extraction or leather-safe conditioning cleaning
  • Typical dry time of 2 to 6 hours

Pricing

What Couch and Upholstery Cleaning Costs

Upholstery is priced by the piece: a sofa, a loveseat, a sectional piece, a chair. Tell us what you have when you book and the office confirms the price before the visit.

The current offer takes 50% off the second piece of equal or lesser value, so a sofa and a chair together cost less than booking them apart.

Before You Book

Couch and Upholstery Cleaning, Step by Step

When to book, how fabric and leather are treated, and how to get ready.

Signs It Is Time

  • Arms and headrests have gone darker than the rest of the piece
  • Pet hair and odor that a lint roller will not fix
  • A spill that dried before you got to it
  • Moving furniture into a new home
  • Cushions that smell musty after a humid summer

How the Cleaning Works

  • The fabric or leather is tested first, so the method matches the material
  • Stains and odor sources are pretreated
  • Fabric gets hot water extraction where it is safe, a gentler method where it is not
  • Leather is cleaned and moisturized, not soaked

Before We Arrive

  • Tell us which pieces and what they are made of
  • Check the care tag if there is one
  • Clear blankets, pillows and anything on the cushions
  • Keep pets away from the pieces until they are dry

Couch and Upholstery Cleaning in South Florida

What wears furniture down here, and what cleaning can and cannot fix.

Sunscreen, Salt and Body Oil

Arms, headrests and seat fronts collect sunscreen, salt and body oil, which is why they go darker than the rest of the piece. Those oils are what a professional clean lifts out.

Humidity and Musty Cushions

Cushions can hold moisture through a humid summer, especially in a home that sits closed with the AC off. A musty smell is a reason to clean the piece and to keep the AC running when you are away.

Sun Fading

Afternoon sun fades fabric and dries out leather. Cleaning removes soil, but it cannot bring back color the sun has taken, so ask before you book if fading is your main concern.

Check the Care Tag

Most upholstery tags carry a cleaning code: W for water-based cleaning, S for solvent only, W/S for either, and X for vacuum only. Tell the office what yours says. For leather, see leather cleaning.

A Homeowner's Guide to Couch and Upholstery Cleaning

Fabric types, care codes, and what makes a piece hard to clean.

  4. What Cleaning Cannot Fix
  5. Protecting a Clean Piece

Fabric Types and How They Clean

Synthetic blends such as polyester and nylon usually clean well with water-based methods. Cotton and linen can shrink, brown or water-mark, so they need more care. Microfiber is often tagged S, solvent only. Velvet and chenille have a pile that can crush, and performance fabrics are built to release stains but still collect body oil.

Reading the Care Tag

W: water-based cleaning is safe. S: solvent only. W/S: either. X: vacuum only, no liquid cleaning. If the tag is missing, tell the office what the fabric looks and feels like and when the piece was bought.

Pets on the Furniture

Pet hair works into the weave, and pet odor soaks into the cushion, not just the cover. Tell us about pets when you book so odor sources can be pretreated, and vacuum the piece first so the cleaning goes into the fabric, not the hair.

What Cleaning Cannot Fix

Sun fading, worn or pilled fabric, and color that has bled are not soil, so cleaning does not reverse them. Point out anything like that before the clean so you know what to expect.

Protecting a Clean Piece

Protector can be added after the clean to give you more time to blot a spill. Rotate and flip cushions, vacuum weekly where pets sit, and keep pieces out of direct afternoon sun.

Questions About Upholstery & Leather Cleaning

Anything else? Call (888) 700-4894 and the office will answer it.

Yes, when the right process is used. We test the leather first and use a conditioning-safe method built for leather, never a fabric extraction process.

Typical dry time is 2 to 6 hours, depending on the fabric, the method and whether protector is applied.

In most cases, yes. Pretreatment targets the odor source, not just the surface stain, before the main cleaning.

Yes. Sofas, sectionals, accent chairs and ottomans. Add each piece to your request; the 50% off second piece offer applies to one of equal or lesser value.

It is priced by the piece, and the current offer takes 50% off a second piece of equal or lesser value. The office confirms the total before the visit.

Every year or two for a piece in daily use. Sooner with pets, kids or a seat in direct sun.

Upholstery is priced by the piece, so a sofa costs more than a chair. The current offer takes 50% off a second piece of equal or lesser value, and the office confirms the total before the visit.

It depends on the size of the sofa and the fabric. Tell the office what you have when you book and the price is confirmed before the visit.

Start with the care tag: W means water-based cleaner, S means solvent only, W/S means either, and X means vacuum only. Blot spills right away, test anything on a hidden spot first, and leave set-in stains to a professional.
